Veeam One Free - Watching the Watchers

I use Veeam One Free to monitor several remote environments and have been happy with the results. Occasionally  Veeam One will falter and needs restarting.  I don't know this until I connect to the remote Veeam One Free server and try to launch it and it won't open up.  During that period I don't receive the appropriate alerts. Does anyone have any similar experience and hopefully a solution on receiving a notification or method to validate that Veeam is running properly?  I'm going to try using the "Other" e-mail notification to send a daily heartbeat message but I'm not sure it that accurately reflects the entire Veeam application.

Thanks,
Troy Taylor

Do you restart your Veeam server daily ?

Andrew,
We haven't been but may start scheduling that.  What I'd really like is a solution that ensures Veeam is working correctly. Something along the lines of a heartbeat process that will quickly and easily confirm it is working properly or has faltered.

Andrew,
I'll take a look at that option, thank you. Any thoughts on how to monitor the Veeam solution currently in place?
