Slow Internet Connection

In my company some users are complaining that they have slow internet connection, but when i check the connection speed in speedtest.net it shows high and good internet connection speed. our network use firewall to link internet and LAN. so what might be the common cause for slow internet speed?

Is the speedtest from the users session the same as your test from your session?

Do you use the Firewall as a Proxy?
Is there a autentication method for your webfilter?

A bit more information about your network infrastructure and your security configuration could be helpfull.

Most likely your provider has weak DNS servers, next check for better DNS config

Firewall is the proxy and no authentication for user but we separate user as category for internet access as full access and limited access.
firewall is directly connected with core switches to provide internet, cisco routers use only for VPN Connection

Is the same issue for http and https?
Which checks are configured or what is the matter if you disable the checks on the firewall for a test user -> site ?
How is the user authentication configured? LDAP check?

What type of firewall? And when you separate users, do you mean by PC? And if you loosen all the rules, do things work better? If not, how well are your switches and cabling working?

Ideally, all of your switches are gigabit and you don't have the computers daisychained to phones.

Did you try a faster router?
