High Availibility using DAG IP address in Exchange 2016

Hi Experts,

Can I use the DAG IP address in Exchange 2016 for the MX records to achieve high availiabilty. Both servers will have same hardware specifications and I only want the clients to switch to the second server if 1 server fails?

Will this work because I 2 Exchange 2010 server and they work with this setup, I am only concerned because you cannot create CAS Array in exchange 2016.

Thanks.

Are you using round robin or HLB?

no
Can you share your design and what are you trying to achieve. If you are looking for HA. Then you need hardware load balance. 2016 you can use Layer 4, however Layer 7 is preferred.

If you read this configuration, I have the same configuration in my production and it works without a problem, one server fails and all the connections shifts to the other server.

Can I do the same with Exchange 2016?
Link cannot be opened at my end. I haven't used it, so cannot comment. If it is just monitoring server up and down for failover, then I don't see any issue in using with 2016 as well. However, that is not the recommended way, you need HLB which is application aware and can switch over, if Exchange is not working on X server and switch over to Y server.
Thanks,  I will see If someone has implemented this and it works with Exchange 2016.
try a free kemp load balancer, if you need additional HA on that, you can by a license, the free one works a treat tho !!

Free Kemp Load Balancer Link
Is there anyone who can let me know if I can use the DAG IP for the availability of the servers? I don't want to use any kind of Load balancer if this is possible.
