Conference Room Computer Permissions

Hello All,

We currently have computers in each of our conference rooms that use a generic user account to automatically login. We currently map multiple network drives to these machines which allows users access to almost everything on the shares. We are looking for a way to keep these network drives mapped but require the users to enter their personal domain credentials anytime they open a shared drive. Most of these machines are left unattended which is cause for some security concerns.

Wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions about forcing windows to always ask for credentials when connecting to a network drive. Or if anyone would be willing to share how they handle this at their location.

User credentials and group policy would be fine.  What are you trying to avoid, it seems just to login process.
Another think,,, if you're using automatic logon then probably you don;t want to share password with people, so if computer will go to screen saver then they need to restart computer to login automatically.
