If you want to use the stock mail client, you need to setup Hotmail as an exchange account.

Sorry that I have no idea about :the stock mail client, you need to setup Hotmail as an exchange account".
I want to use it in its simplest way as I was doing before.
I managed To add in my mail account but when I want to open the Inbox, it can't open in it just and after little time it shows a message that says : "You may have emails that may not yet been retrieved from the server". and nothing happens.
Please note that I couldn't delete my gmail there, which I don't use anyway.
BTW: I am now on my lap Top only.
Any clue please?

What do you see when you click the link above?
Normally, the password for webmail for mail.live.com will not work and you need to setup an app password as shown above.
You need to manage/remove the email accounts from the stock mail client instead of settings.
After removal of the hotmail account, go to Settings -> Accounts -> Add accounts and select Microsoft Exchange account, input the full email address of your hotmail as user name and input the app password as password.

you have to set app password on your mobile device, your regular password will not work.

It looks that my story is little longer than what I anticipated. So, I appreciate your patience with me.
That account was created some many years ago and the phone no there was my ex-company. Now I resigned from there 2 years ago. So I don't have that no. and it was even in another country.
I couldn't find a way to re-gain access or be able to updated my credentials on this account.
So, help please.

But, if you have not setup a recovery email address, it is unlikely that you can regain your credential.
Hotmail is a free service and it is unlikely that a real person will handle youf passwird reset request. So, if you have not setup your recovery email address or tel number to receive code for password reset. Sorry.
