is there a way to prevent users from saving passwords in rdp even if they wanted to ?
We are considering setting up a shared desktop with rdp connections to several computers .
The concern is if user a saves the password to her computer , if user be comes along and clicks . they would have access to user a's computer .
I would like to set it up so a password is always required .

Open up RDP, Expand Details (lower left), General, check the box (select the setting) to ask for credentials.
ASKER
John,
The answer I am looking for is how to hard-wire "ask for credentials " so that it cannot be unchecked

I have not seen a way to hard wire the setting I mentioned. You would need a registry hack and I do not use such.
