MailTips Exchange 2010
Ok so I have a mail-tip set for an acct, it shows up in Outlook when you try to send to it BUT it does not sent a reply to anyone after the message hits it's mailbox.
Do I have something misconfigured?
Is a MailTip the wrong way to handle this? They would like a reply sent everytime a message hits the mailbox.

Autoreply will usually display the message you set when you enable it, just like a mailtip does, so that is probably what you had going before. A mailtip will only pop a message up.
Correct, Mailtips is only used as a function for a Outlook / OWA. When you email someone, Exchange will do an LDAP lookup for mailtips and if one is present will notify Outlook / OWA of what the Mailtip is.
For emails you have to setup autoreply. Mailtips does not have the ability to respond to emails as it's just an LDAP lookup function.
