asked on
win10 should i turn hibernation on?
I had this question after viewing should i turn off hibernation win10.
I've been having problems where my computer doesn't stay asleep. I've turned off everything I can in bios, wake timers, device details, etc.
I began to shut it down at night. With SSDs the shutdown and boot times aren't long. I've also set up my browsers to bring up the same tabs and windows when they are restarted.
If I use hibernation,
1. Will it come out of hibernation for no reason?
2. Can a hacker come in from the Internet and bring the computer out of hibernation?
3. I just realized I can eliminate any chance of that happening by simply removing the ethernet cord from the back when I leave the computer. Or just disabling the adapter. Does this make sense?
4. Must hiberfil.sys be on the boot drive?
Thanks,
Al
