Hi I am just trying to figure out an issue with our software which is integrated with SSRS. The reports we connect with are on an SQL Server 2016 SSRS version. However the application is using Report viewer 2012 on a different server. I am having issues with trusting the SSRS server and just want to make sure &nbsp;the report viewer 2012 is compatible with SQL Server 2016? <br />

If I know the answer to that then I can either carry on troubleshooting other parts or direct the focus onto getting the versions working together.<br />

The main part of the error I receive: The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'...The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.<br />

Report viewer 2012 and SSRS 2016. Are they compatible?

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report generation software system from Microsoft. It can prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports and is administered via a web interface or its web service. Its web services interface also supports the development of custom reporting applications. Finally, SSRS can also be integrated with SharePoint. SSRS competes with other business intelligence tools, most prominently Crystal Reports.
