how to search folder in windows for number of mentions within a file
i am searching a term across 900 adobe pdfs in a windows folder.
ideally, i would like the results to show me all files ordered by how many mentions of the word are in each file.
what solution should i pursue.

I wrote a program called Search PDFs & Automatically Report Occurrences (SPARO — pronounced sparrow). It was a follow-up to this question here on EE:

Version 1.0 worked only on a single PDF, as discussed in my answer at that question, but the current Version 1.2 supports both individual files and an entire folder of files, as shown in its opening dialog:
The reason I requested the asker's budget is that SPARO is not free, but then, neither is the program that Ramin posted a link to (AnyCount), so it seems fair to consider my program, too (or, perhaps, create a Gigs project). Regards, Joe
