Active Directory/sub domain vs root domain
Hi All
I'm currently designing a new AD forest, and wondering what the current recommendation is for where the actual production AD (where end-user accounts, computers, etc... exist) should be located.
Should I create the AD in a subdomain (i.e. ad.company.xyz) or at the root (i.e. company.xyz)? My research shows there are two thought schools on the matter. We purchased a TLD solely for AD/Internal use, so split DNS won't be an issue.
Thanks
