Best way to Virtualize Windows 7 desktops to AWS or Azure
We have several (about 10) Windows 7 desktops that we would like to virtualize and run in the cloud. It appears that CREATING a NEW virtual desktop in AWS or Azure is fairly simple... just procure and go.
However, our need is to "encapsulate" an existing set of Windows 7 desktops, all with their own individual apps already installed (i.e. QuickBooks, various utilities, Microsoft Office, whatever...) and move those virtual images to the cloud.
And that is where it gets a little fuzzy.
This is fairly low-budget, and the machines are modestly configured (8GB RAM and 500GB disk)...
Can someone provide a few "starter" recommendations as the AWS versus Azure... and help us get off of square-one with some of the nomenclature?
Remember, the requirement is to virtualize EXISTING desktops...
Thank you...
