Touch ID and multiple users

Let's say I have an iPad and iPhone (both iOS 10 if it makes a difference).

I enable TouchID on my iPad and the finger prints stored are that of mine and my wife's.

1. Many mobile apps now authenticate using Touch ID. Is there any way to restrict/ any plans to, the fingerprint to the app...currently it seems my anyone with their finger print registered can access any app.

2. If I enable Touch ID on my iPhone, will my wife automatically have access to my apps, or does she need to re-register?

Thanks John, I understand their POV for an iPhone, but iPads tend to be shared devices.....?

Do you know the answer to my second question?
The iPads I help with here (grandchildren) are single user devices. Yes they might be shared, but login is for one user. Each child has their own iPad. The OS is the same as well. So all the personal devices I am familiar with are one user.

MAC OS for Computers does have multi-user capability.
