Outlook - Marking READ receipts as read
Say, how can I filter select all the read receipts in my inbox ? I would like to be able to mark them as READ.

Tx. Will tracking apply only to new emails received?
One way is to sort by Icon:
Click View>View Settings
Click Sort button
Select the drop down arrow to select by icon
I've tried this but don't see how I can then sort by the icons - there may be other sort options I need to change....

Hi shaunwingin,
Yes, that Option will delete read receipts going forward.
As for the sort options, which version of Outlook are you using? Are you saying that when you go to View>View Settings>Sort that you do not see the Icon option in the drop down list?

Not deleting the read receipts even with
" after updating move receipts to "Trash" " ticked.
Outlook office 365
No I see the icon option but after selecting it - I can't see how to sort on icons...

Can you send a screenshot? Once you have clicked to select Icon, your messages will be sorted by Message type

Hi shawnwingin
It appears in your capture that Outlook did, indeed sort by icon. The grouping called "Read Receipt: SOSA" is showing all of your read receipts. Now you can mark them as read or delete them. Is this what you were expecting

Also, since Outlook keeps tracking info, why not automatically delete read receipts after processing:
File>options>Mail category> Navigate to the tracking section
Click to select "Update tracking info and delete responses that don't contain comments"
