How to centrally test thousands of laptops USB is blocked

We block USB ports on PCs & laptops but there were cases that these blocking did not work
(using Checkpoint or a certain central blocking tool, not via registry setting of the OS).

Is there a mass way for me to centrally poll all PCs/laptops' USB ports using MS SCCM or
MS Desktop Central to see if there's any USB ports out there that are not blocked?

devcon (& pls provide exact steps to do it) or any freeware tool ?   Running Win 7 mostly,
a few WIn 8 & Win 10

Does the command below work under the case where there's no USB thumb drive / HDD being
inserted into the USB port:

'fsutil fsinfo drivetype e: '

Does the above work on USB ports which do not have device (thumb drv or USB HDD)
inserted at the time the command is executed?  Will need a  command/tool that works
to verify if the port is enabled even without USB thumbdrv / HDD being inserted

We use Checkpt & another tool to block USB ports so that staff can't copy files in/out
but allow staff to insert phones/devices for power charging.  We have cases where
this blocking did not take effect, so I'll need to test them from time to time
