Linux FTP Error
Currently in our environment, we have an FTP server running Debian with WingFTP serving as the FTP application layer.
From two of our other hosts (Debian), when we try to FTP large files (> 500MB), we get a mid transfer disconnect and error 426 Data connection closed. Cannot find much information to help diagnose this but what I have found is that it is only on larger files.
We have another Debian VM that we do not see this error on.
Looking for any help that could be provided. Could this be an FTP timeout setting on the two servers?

Servers download to an NFS mount with plenty of free space available.
Both servers are running Debian Wheezy

Can you try to use different ftp client or use sftp or scp (secure ftp and seure cp).
Are you transferring multiple files? if yes then try transferring one by one and see if the problem goes.

We have narrowed this down to an issue with an NFS mount. The SCP copy has a long enough timeout period that it recovers during the interruption. The FTP fails as soon as it happens.
what about file systems size?
