microsoft audit for a client question
I have a client that received a letter stating they need to under go a License Verification Process.
Small Org, maybe 40 desktops, OEM copies of Windows, some OEM office etc. It looks as if MS wants to assign a partner to do the audit, we are a partner so going to find out if we can. Question - anyone aware of any tools that can query each desktop and produce a report of OEM license/licenses activation codes of all computers on the network and dump it to an excel sheet?
Any info/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Thanks for the info and your help. I finally did get a call back from a senior person at MS, and actually they encourage the aggressive practices of their partners. It is really a gray area, and almost borderline illegal. But MS did this years ago with Novell. This is what they do sadly.
Companies that fell for this ended up spending thousands of dollars on staff hours to do an audit that was ot required because of scare tactics. Keep your eyes open
