VMware SRM - Datastore not showing in Array Replication

We have configured SRM on Prod and DR sites, along with EqualLogic Array replication. However, in Array Manager, the Datastore column is not populated. As a result, we cannot configure Protection Groups.
We have looked at articles like this
http://www.codyhosterman.com/2016/05/srm-cannot-identify-replicated-datastores-on-iscsi-devices/
It suggests that we should make our IQNs lower case everywhere to fix the issue.
If this fix is correct, how do we go about making this change? Can it be done in GUI? If not, what CLI commands are needed? Do we need to vMotion any VMs during this operation? Thanks.

First question, are your iSCSI IQNs for your hosts uppercase and lower case ?

it can be done in the GUI, before making this change you will need to disconnect hosts from the storage, which means putting the host into Maintenance Mode, moving ALL VMs off the host, changing the iSCSI IQNs to lower case, and then repeat for each host.

I think you are asking about IQNs in iSCSI software adapter of hosts. They are in mixed cases; host names 'ESX1' etc. are in upper case, but rest of the name is in lower cases.

In GUI, when we try to change it, changes don't get applied perhaps because name is same if we disregard case sensitivity. Thanks.
So, you will need to change all the IQNs to lower case.

You may need to remove iSCSI software adaptor, reboot, re-add, rename correctly, and reboot again.

Well, making all names lower case did not help. The suggestion of web-link of Cody Hosterman may not be applicable to latest EqualLogic arrays. The top tier of Dell Support stated that it might work if two sites are in different vSphere domains. All this is making so little sense to us and we will probably use vSphere replication instead.

Andy, have you heard of such a EqualLogic-not-working-with-SRM scenario? Thanks.
we've never heard of Equallogic not working with SRM.

And if we have to resort to vSphere replication, can those VMs be setup after SRM servers are already running on two sites? Usually, we are told that vReplication servers should be installed before SRM VMs. Any precautions? Thanks.
Yes vSphere Replication should be setup before SRM.

Do we have to totally uninstall SRM VMs or simply disable pairing?
You should be able to install now, without uninstalling or disable paring, as you've not got SRA working, do you have the option to Deploy vSphere Replication from Site Recovery Manager interface ?
