Testing my WiFi
Hi Experts,
I have a Windows 10 laptop which WiFi most of the time flies, but when I needed most, it drops connection.
As my laptop is under warranty a few more months, how can I find out if the issue is with my laptop or with the network?

Install Acrylic Wifi Scanner on your laptop and let it scan for 10 minutes or so when you have the issue. Screenshot the app after 10 mins and post here, please.
When you are not able to connect to your WIFI with your laptop, try to connect with your phone to find out what is the causes of problem.
if you were not able to connect even with your phone, then power off your router for 10 sec and power it on and retest.
if this solves the problem at anytime that problem occurs then HARD RESETTING your router will fix this issue, but make sure that you have all information to reconfigure it.
if what mention above did not solve the case then try to work on your WIFI drive.

Is this test OK? I don't know what it means, or much about the networking, but any help will be welcome.

The issue is the wifi, not the laptop. There's quite a bit of interference in your environment.
Is this test OK?No it's not. change the Wireless Channel to CH11 or CH9
also change the Band Width in the Router Wireless Setup and check if it helps.
Ramin, that's not the way to do it. The screenshot shows me everything I need to know.
The RF environment is congested and 2.4GHz should only use 20MHz channels anyway. Changing the channel won't help.

there is a source near the computer or router, that is generating powerful signal which interfere with your wireless signal.
move the router or laptop away from that signal to avoid that vertical noise.

I was destructed.
Attached you will see a picture with my setup where I circled my router provided my my ISP. You will see that I have my computer and printer close, but next to my router I also have Ethernet switch and a TV box wireless transmitter also provided by the same company that sends signal to my TV in another room.
Actually, the TV signal in that room is perfect, but the WiFI in the same room is crappy.
As well, I dont know how relevant, but I live in a high rise surrounded by many other buildings.

Change the Wireless Channel to CH11
Band Width to 20 M in your Router Wireless Setup and check if it helps.
if not, return to old values.
