In the registry, the default association for browsers are stored here:
HTTP - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwar e\Microsof t\Windows\ Shell\Asso ciations\U rlAssociat ions\http
HTTPS - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwa re\Microso ft\Windows \Shell\Ass ociations\ UrlAssocia tions\http s
What you then do is create a GPO to update these two registry settings for your users. Import the registry settings (into GPMC) from a machine which is already configured to use Google Chrome as a default browser into GPO > User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry
HTTP - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwar
HTTPS - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Softwa

Are these stand alone or in a domain?
If these are not in a domain, you'd have to look into doing this by local Group Policy on each machine.

I'll work on it.

What is the computer already has Chrome as the default. Hence the registry key is already there.

I just tried to see if I could "import" the keys I exported into a GPO I created. Sorry I don't know how. I know how to edit the registry setting in the GPO and "add" a new registry item, but not how to import.
Can you explain?
