How do I transfer file permissions when I copy from a Mac to Windows.

We are moving from an Apple server with RAID to a Windows server with RAID and I am wondering what the best way is to do this.  I can just copy the folders over to the Windows but then I cannot see how to apply any sharing or permissions once the Mac file is on the Windows side.

Thank you for any help.

Lee W - I do have active directory connected to an Apple server with RAID.  Does that make any difference?
Is your Apple file server already sharing to Windows systems?  If yes, then you should be able to use Robocopy.exe from the Windows side to copy the Windows permissions of shares used by Windows users.  Shares used by Mac users won't have Windows permissions, and they won't map to the Windows side.  You will have be able to have some permissions moved over that way, simplifying some of the permissions settings.  The shares used solely by Mac users will need to be set from scratch, but you should have some basic permissions for access from Windows.
Thanks all for your help.  It looks like I be making the folders from scratch.
not the best distribution.  Point grabbing.
