using fill in Excel
I'm using Excel 2013.
On a column if I have a numbee value like 1 in my cell,
if I select a bunch of rows below it and then click Fill and use Linear and Step value 1, i then get this
1
2
3
4
5
If my cell contained a value like this: A1
How do I use fill to get something like this:
A1
A2
A3
A4
A5
A6
A7
A8

That is correct @Rob. I was only stating that he only needs the first value because he was incrementing by 1. I should have been more specific. To set the incremental value to something other than 1 you do need at least 2 values of course.
@Mike To be honest, I hadn't spotted your comment about only needing one entry. I realised after posting that I should have been more specific as to why you need two entries and posted a further comment.
For example, if you filled in the first two as A1 and A3 and then dragged, the fill would then increment in odd numbers, A5, A7, A9 etc
