SRV.SYS Causing Server Crash During Backup

I've been working on this server for a few weeks now, trying to get a backup. Every time we attempt a backup the server crashes. I have attached the last minidump file I got from the server, I think that file is from Wednesday. Apparently the srv.sys file is causing the crash. The server runs Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. I have run "sfc /scannow" and found no errors. Last night I ran MBAM and it found a virus and a few PUPs. All were quarantined. All other backup applications have been uninstalled with the exception of one "Crash Plan". It is my understanding that if I uninstall that program, they lose their backups because the encryption key gets destroyed, and that is their only backup at the moment. That backup is from weeks ago, but it's something. Other Info:

- Backups fail with or without VSS enabled on the job
- The backup app I'm trying to use is Shadow Protect 5
- sfc /scannow was run, and no errors were found
- Malware-bytes ran and found a virus and a few PUPs, all have been quarantined
- All other backup apps have been uninstalled except 1. That one has been disabled
- SQL Server 2008 is running on the server

I'm not really sure what to do next. I might try a Windows Backup.

Do you have Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) enabled?
Do you have a Shadow Copy or Previous Version from just prior to the infestation?

If I understand correctly you're not trying to restore.
Clean the system and complete backups (test a restore).

Yes it is enabled. I have maybe 2 weeks of previous Versions, but we inherited this account. I have no idea when this server got infected.
Are your SQL Server Maintenance Plans (Backups) completing?
Never thought of checking the maint plan backups. Yes, those are working, but they are going to the local directory on the server... Why am I not surprised...
When your backup causes the crash are you having to restart the server? Is it faulting and restarting itself?
Do you have the Windows Server Backup feature installed?
The server reboots on it's own. We don't have to do it. Windows Server Backup is installed.

Yes production. I think I'll try the Windows backup this evening.
Morning Matthew, I take it the Windows Backup completed error free?
Nope. Never got a chance to try it. We just setup a robocopy job to copy the needed files to a NAS. The metaphorical "shit hit the fan" yesterday and we aren't going to mess with backing up this server anymore. Just copy the needed files/folders to a NAS and move on. If it dies, we'll just have to rebuild it from scratch =/.
