VMWare 5, Add Host to Datastore

Okay, first the disclaimer, I am not a VMWare admin so this might be a silly question. Thanks for understanding.

I just created 4 new volumes on an iscsi SAN. I then created 4 datastores and connected them to those volumes. I tried to add the storage space to the VM but the new datastores aren't being seen. I assume this is because the host that the VM lives on isn't seeing the datastores. Meaning, when I click on the newly created datastore(s), then hosts tab, they only show 1 of my 3 hosts. The older datastores show all three hosts.  Obviously I need to add the other two hosts to these datastores but I'm not sure how. What am I missing here? I'm sure it's something simple.

Again, forgive me if this is a silly question. It's been a long time since I've had to configure VMWare.

Thanks for the input!

Login to your vsphere client, click on the host, go to configuration then storage, click add and scan for any new storage.

All three should have permission.

If I click on storage for that host, and click configuration, I only see my previous datastores, but not the new ones. Of course I can see them on the host that I added it to originally. Does that make sense?

If I click Add Storage on the other two hosts, the LUN isn't there (presumably because I added to one already)?
I'm assuming you gave permission to the host from the SAN side correct? If you did then under the configuration and under storage you should be able to do a scan all to find any new LUNS .
Can you post a screenshot of what your storage area looks like for that one host?
Can you look at your Storage Adaptor, are the LUNs present on ALL hosts  or not ?

if you look at the other end , e.g. on the SAN, can you see all hosts connected ?

this will allow us to work out which and what is failing ?

can you also ping and vmkping each SAN from each host ?

Click Add Datastore, is not going to help, this really means Add NEW datastore, and these are NOT new, because the LUN is already formatted.

If you perform a re-scan on the Storage Adaptor, e.g. iSCSI, do the LUNs/Datastores appear?

If I look at the adapter for each host, the host that I added the 4 new luns to shows 10 targets. The others only show 6.  The 4 2.25TB luns that I created are only showing up in the device list of the adapter on that one host. But how do I fix that?

Thanks for all of the help so far!
okay, do you have access to the host console, or remotely via SSH, I have some commands for you to try ?

Thanks Andrew. Your comment about all hosts needing permission led us to notice that we needed to allow multiple hosts to share the LUN. Thanks!
