Disabling SNMP Write-Access on Switches

I have a switch that I would like to disable SNMP Write-Access for security.  Will this cause any problems with attached PCs or does this just disable reporting on events to the switch?
Thanks

Thank you for your response.  So are you saying that if I disable SNMP "Write Access" on that switch, I will have to physically connect to it rather then being able to remote to it to make changes?
There appears to be a delay in someone responding to you, so I'll answer that question for you:

No.  You'll still be able to telnet/ssh in as before.  This will just prevent modification to the switch via SNMP.
Ok.  I use the GUI (via web browser) and I do not want to lose the ability of that interface.
