Need info on ASRock X99 Extreme4 and boot on power on

I have a new ASRock X99 Extreme4 motherboard -- supposedly "server" grade. As a server, I need the computer to boot on power-on in the event of power loss. I've looked through the BIOS settings, but have not found the typical setting to boot when power is restored. I see boot on LAN, boot on keyboard, etc., but nothing telling it to boot when power is restored. A preliminary test I did (yanking the plug), did not cause it to boot. I had to physically press the power button. Am I missing something? Of all motherboard features, I would think a reboot-on-power would be essential for a server as these are normally unattended and need to come back up in the wee hours if they go down.

Rather than trying to recover from power loss by rebooting the system, I'd be inclined to buy a UPS that could hold it for an hour in case of a power failure.  This gives sufficient time for it to send a text message to your phone, and for you to drive to the location and shut it down manually in case of a long outage.  Better to keep the system running if it's being used as a server, than to let it drop dead and hope that the data is intact when it comes back to life.

Dr. Klahn: It is on a UPS, and will shutdown gracefully. The problem is when power is restored. I need the computer to come back up.

David Johnson, CD, MVP: Page 71 of my manual is in Spanish, but I'll look online to see if there is a pdf version. Where did you see this "Restore on AC/Power Loss"? If an online document, can you post the link?

"BTW this is not a server motherboard." Hmmm, it was sold to me as such in that it supports ECC memory with an Intel Xenon processor; and it wasn't cheap. I don't think I need to worry about the network interface as this is a Linux mail server and the network interface works.

I'll search for that manual, but if you could post the link in the meantime, that would be great.

I checked the pdf manual and found it on manual page 71, as you said. The setting is located under Advanced > Chipset Configuration, and is scrolled off at the bottom. I swear I scrolled down on all these menus, but apparently not. Or maybe I wasn't expecting it to be under chipset. I'm used to seeing a "power" tab. Anyway, It is now set to power on when power is restored. Problem solved. Thanks
