I have a Windows 2012 R2 server that has been running an application for 1-2 years, the application stopped working today and I found out the SSL certificate expired.<br />
I tried to find IIS Manager but could not find it, come to find out the Webserver (IIS) role is NOT installed! &nbsp;I thought this was required to have an SSL certificate installed, correct?<br />
How do I renew the SSL certificate?<br />

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed.
