Extracting store locations from Google maps or site

Sorry I'm completely stuck where to start here.  I wanted to output a CSV of all store locations for McDonalds and don't know where to start.
The 2 routes I've thought of would be to run a query against Google maps, or to use the DB that must sit behind the store locator tool on their site.
Problem is I don't know how to start?  I know some php and mySQL, but any pointers would be really helpful.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Contact McDonalds HQ and ask them to give you a list of their store locations.

This information is property of McDonalds and if they want you to have it, they will give or sell it to you.  They have deliberately engineered their web site to prevent you from "scraping" this information, so the most straightforward way to get it will be to ask the owner.
