Migrating to office 365 E3

Already started moving from physical servers to office365 E3. As migration may be hectic at the moment. Is it the good idea to start email services at O365 and migrate old pst of email account at some later point. Would that make any difference?

Planning to create same ids as old server and merge data at later stage. Would that be ok?
Yes. that will work. Make sure your users understand your plan.
Thank you, and I was happy to help.
Depends on how you are migrating emails and users? do you have hybrid integration or you are using IMAP Migration?

I would only keep pst files of old emails. To upload and merge them directly to office 365
