"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That works perfectly over airplay, without software needed to download.

Hi, Slingingshot15.

There isn't a way to do it with just AirPlay, so the best way to do it is through an app called Mobile Mouse Remote.

It cost $1.99, so it won't hurt your wallet too much. ;)

Last, if you're an audiophile like me, then I'm sure you could appreciate this app by Rogue Amoeba: Airfoil for Mac ($29) and Airfoil Satellite for iPhone (free).
What it allows you to do is play the same music from whatever device you designate as the source. An example would be if your playing a song from your iPhone and you want it to play on your TV, iPad, and maybe an extra iPhone/iPad all at once. Do this you'd simply open Airfoil on your Mac and iOS devices and start playing the song. It's pretty cool because you can adjust the volume for each device, or you can have the volume synced across all devices.

When would you use something like that?

Parties are a perfect time to bust it out, but I use it on the weekends to play my radio channel throughout my house. I like being able to start my day listening to the radio in the kitchen while I eat breakfast, jump outside to do a bit of yard work, move to my room to take a shower, then fire up the grill on the back porch, all while listening to the same channel.

I hope this helps. Take care.
