IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.

2. How many Application Pools are on the server?
3. With what technology are the sites built? ASP.NET, PHP, plain HTML?
4. Is there a database involved with the migration?
4a. If yes... where is the database server, locally installed or on a remote server?
5. Is the web server accessible from the Internet or is this an internal site only?
There any several methods to migrate, but first a little info is required to help find the most efficient method to use.
