trying to access email account on Exchange 2013 hybrid server using outlook

I have an Exchange 2013 Hybrid server that I had to migrate an account to. I can access this account using OWA to the Hybrid server, but I cant access the account using outlook. I get the following: Outlook cannot log on. Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

I have tried to create the mailbox profile before launching Outlook and when I put in the server name and the acct name and then click on check names - I get the same error as above.

Anyone know why I cant connect to this acct using outlook? Is there something special that needs to be done on a hybrid server to allow this connection?

because autodiscover needs to be pointing to that server. You can't put a 'server name' in the server address field in 2013/2016 because that field is unique to all users that are actually on the 2013/2016 server.
What version of outlook?

That was it. Autodiscover was the only thing I could think of but didn't want to mess with it yet. I created an entry in my hosts file and it worked.

Thanks for the response!!
