How can i confirm Password policy is working?

I've had the password policy, in the default domain policy, in place for decades but now for the past 3 or 4 months i'm not sure it's working. Our staff haven't been notified of expiring passwords for a while now. How can i test it?

I found this on another site, it looks like you need to test this via the PPE management console. See link below.

Sorry, what's the PPE Management console.
It looks like its a 3rd party software. There has to be something else out there to try. I assume you are pushing the policy with GPO?
Yes. via GPO. It's been working forever so not sure why it would suddenly not work.
I hate to install 3rd party software on my domain controllers. I figured MS would have a way of testing the password policy
