Migrating Single VM from ESX host using NFS based storage to Cloud

Hi,

I am working on an Azure based project where I need to migrate VM's from On premise(Hosted on ESX/i where NFS is Plugged directly) to Azure. NFS is directly plugged to the ESX host and all the VMs are sharing storage and then getting data disk from the NFS box. I need to move Guest VMs in phased manner from these ESX host to Azure. Just not sure how to detach a single VM from this scenario and move to Azure.
Is there a solution to this and can I create a quick test lab to test this out.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I think I agree with you, that's one option that I have(Considering present the best one, unless I come across any specific Challenge based on the  app it has or the VM Size, not want to choke the network !!)
