Hi,

Each time i login into the server and open command prompt, it showing c:\user\default.

By right, it should show as c:\user\ followed by our logon id

How to set this correctly

try this

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor] "Autorun"="cd c:\user\ followed by our logon id"

this work for me

If you hit the Win (Start) button and type CMD search field, instead of clicking Command Prompt (cmd.exe), right click and choose properties.

In the "Start in:" field, it normally says %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

This makes cmd start in the home folder. You can change this to be whatever you'd prefer.
