Impact of sending Global meeting request - Exchange 2013

6000 users. Regularly global emails are sent to all users with no impact.

Management now want to send a global meeting request. In terms of resources, would this have more of an effect or same? Or less?

If you can send emails to 6000 recipients at a time, then obiviously you can send meeting invites to 6000 people.
This number is derived from  Transportconfig parameter 'MaxRecipientEnvelopeLimit'

Get-TransportConfig | fl maxRecipient*

Also its good to disable 'responses' for the meeting requests, or it will create additional issues.
