Do i need to use a different subnet than the one the esxi hosts are on? and if so then i would need a VLAN on my physical switches? or can i be on the same network scheme?<br />
<br />
Once this is completed, I should be able to move VM's between host if we need to do patching etc?<br />

We are configuring shared storage using a Dell MD3400 - SAS and need some help.<br />
<br />
We have 2 esxi hosts and we are using Vcenter 6.0 for management. Both the esxi hosts can see the newly created LUN.<br />
<br />
1) Do we need VMkernel switch with IP subnetting in order to use Vmotion seeing this is directed attached storage?<br />
2) The goal is to use VMotion and HA between the 2 esxi hosts and the VM's that are on them.<br />

SAS Storage with Vcenter 6.0
