I am using an A/B video switchbox to get audio/video to an 80" television from a PC and a laptop using Gefen Audio/Video extenders. I have attached a diagram for reference. I am using a plain old Y splitter to receive audio from the PC and the laptop to send to the television over the Gefen sender. The problem is (and I expected this after thinking about it) that trhe audio quality is half as loud as it should be because of the Y splitter. If I connect the PC directly to the Gefen sender, it is fine. If the Y splitter is in the mix, quality is bad. Does anyone have a cheap solution to this problem?
