LAPTOP HARD DRIVE ENCRYPTION - RECOMMENDATIONS

I have a need to encrypt about 10 laptops /

these belong to financial people and will be out of the office with them and potentially sensitive data.

never been a fan of microsoft's built in tools ( in this case bitlocker ) / so would like to look at other options.

if anyone has some experience with this, please let me know what you have been working with and how well it has worked for you.

Hard to recommend something if you don't describe your recommendations in detail.
Some open source tools lack central management and also don't support OS upgrades without decrypting, first. the latter is something that is important if you run Win10.

We have used Symantec desktop encryption, truecrypt, Veracrypt, Disk cryptor and some more and bitlocker had less problems than those.

Not a ton of requirements / just looking to create another layer of protection in the event that the laptops get stolen.

I too l realize that there is nothing perfect and does all things.

So with 5 laptops, there does not need to be any centralized /

in addition, most thieves are looking just pawn the laptop anyways and not targeting the person because of what it on it.

Nick -

thx - was thinking that being a small group, central management would not be needed / but that product looks interesting.

A quick look appears the Bitlocker is the drive encryption tool it uses.

certain folders would be fine / but, they folders will be part of a file/sync/share application.

so whatever hits those folders will be sync'd up to a central repository.
