Validating Hybrid Outbound Connetcor Issue

Im stuck in validating the hybrid outbound connector in office 365, it always falied for the TLS part and i get that message which is related to the certificate

Couldnt validate the recipient's email server certificate. The certificate subject name doesn't match the domain you specified.

I already checked the subject name mail.domain.com and it's correct, also follow the below Microsoft article

technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms.exch.eac.connectorlearnmoreaboutvalidationtasks(v=exchg.150).aspx

but still the issue persist, and not sure where to check? so any help in that.

Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The issue has been solved, after checking the TLS connection using checktls.com site and it was related to the Fortimail Firewall the connection was always hitting the self signed cert of the appliance except the exchange one after bypassing that self cert from the firewall it works fine.
