Geocluster is a normal cluster and the prefix &quot;GEO&quot; is only to let you know that the nodes aren't in the same datacenter (different city, region or country).

You always need a cluster to set an AOG solution. Doesn't matter if is a geocluster (nodes in different regions) or not.

No, I didn't say that. Geocluster has been used for years before the existence of AOG. AOG only used the existence technology.<br />

Yes but only for different datacenters in the same city. For longer distances you should really have a very good network speed.
