I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess you're creating the name dynamically, right?
Can you post the algorithm you're using to create the dynamic backup file name?

I see. That task creates dynamic backup up file names.
What's the main path? Maybe the length for the folder and subfolder names is too big already and it's time to move it to a root path, something like D:\SQLBackup or so. This will guarantee shorter lengths for the path.
