Go to the Phone. Click on the Line. Then on the &quot;Line Text Label&quot; is where you change the name on the line.

on the phone itself you mean the phone in the UCM under devices...because I did that and it still wouldn't update

Device -&gt; Phone -&gt; Find the phone you want changed and click on it -&gt; On the left hand side under Association, click the line you want modified.<br />
<br />
Scroll down to &quot;Line X on Device SEPXXXXX&quot; section.<br />

Edit &quot;Line Text Label&quot; to have the name you want.

Have Cisco UCM platform, trying to change user on a phone, went in and associated device with new user, when into device and changed owner user ID and Description, but still showing old user...I've rebooted phone as well. Am I missing step?
