Change name on 7940 Cisco UM

Have Cisco UCM platform, trying to change user on a phone, went in and associated device with new user, when into device and changed owner user ID and Description, but still showing old user...I've rebooted phone as well. Am I missing step?

You mean Caller ID or the line display on the phone?

The line display
Go to the Phone. Click on the Line. Then on the "Line Text Label" is where you change the name on the line.
on the phone itself you mean the phone in the UCM under devices...because I did that and it still wouldn't update
the only thing it shows is the extension number even though i have my name set in description, alerting name and ascii alerting
Device -> Phone -> Find the phone you want changed and click on it -> On the left hand side under Association, click the line you want modified.

Scroll down to "Line X on Device SEPXXXXX" section.

Edit "Line Text Label" to have the name you want.
thats what I've edited but not taking , just shows the directory number.. User generated image
