Swapping port on a Cisco 5510 firewall

Hello All,

I have a port that is 100Mbps and I want to move it to the 1Gbps port. All policy is mapped to the named interface on the 100mbps port. Can I simply rename my 1Gbps (and interface config) from the existing 100Mbps port and physically swap ports to get everything running like normal?

Thanks
