I Need to change login password of Asus laptop

I have an old Asus laptop with Windows 10. I set a login password previously but can't remember it now. Please advise.

Assuming you have no encryption in place, you might be able to reset the admin password using the procedure below. It can get a little complex, but usually works in my experience.

Determine which type of account you have, then reset the password.

Microsoft account
Microsoft Account is set up using an email address, you can reset your password online. Use any device connected to the Internet to open the Microsoft password reset page from below link:

local user account
Reset your local user account password using a password reset disk, but to use this option, you must have previously created a password reset disk (or USB drive).

Thanks for all the help and sorry not updating in here.  It is a local account with an UEFI enabled Windows 10 laptop. The real issue is the UEFI staff and you have to turn it off. Then I follow this guide and made a bootable disk. The password was reset in less than 1 minute.
