What is this CD and what URL is it trying to go to?

I'd be also scanning this CD with an anti-virus.

How about any other media to play from that? I think it can be already physically damaged!
test if it plays a cd, and a DVD correct, can be sound cd, or video DVD
also post the cd model  -find it in device manager

i tested other works fine like i installed MS word yesterday and it installed file.

that CDROM is a training CD ROM with bunch of technology related videos from a vtc training company which i bought logn time back. URL it goes is something like etc

If the CDROM is one you bought a long time ago then the URL is probably no longer valid.  The company has probably disabled or changed that URL so that any CDs that used it can no longer do so.

so just call them for alternate url?
gudii9Author Commented:
i do not understand why cd is linked with url. i see first time this kind of thing

Probably it needs to be connected online to a specific website to run. there must be an instruction or read me  file in that CD. open it without running it and search for readme file.

You could.

Most likely you have an old out of date training CD that they no longer support.  If they no longer support it they won't support the URL.  But call them and see what they say.
If it is linking directly to the course's web page could be blocked by your AV?
Does the instructional CD open with an autorun?
Or are you browsing it?
Could you post a screenshot of the contents of the disc?
Open it from my computer rom drive.

It seems to me maybe you need Java installed? to run the program if it has one that also adds these URL within the program?
Since these are courses I have bought a IT course book that included the CD so I could also view on my PC.
The disc included the book to install and at the end of each chapter it included reference materials with a URL.
These are also not free, and as mentioned could be outdated Java web sites they nolonger host.
If the disc is really old.
Youtube has members post lots of free tutorials about Java programming.
