DPM Backlog log

I have a customer that has DPM 2012 installed on server 2008 R2, it has a full running version of SQL 2008. The customer can only see a report for the last 30days, in the backup log from the database. I wanted to know if I could retrieve a full years backup logs, or at least set it to do so in future.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

DPM Maximum number of log files to retain

30 by default

The current number of log files is tracked in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager: <binary>TraceLogNextNum (DWORD). This is an internal registry key and we recommend that you don’t modify it.

So per Microsoft they are advise to not make this log longer but still you can.
Just adjust this number and you're going to be OK
