Autocomplete addresses for Outlook for Mac

One of our users on one of our Office365 tenants are using Outlook for Mac 2016 on their Macbook and are having an issue with the autocomplete addresses in the email 'to' box.
Autocomplete in outlook doesn't work well at all. It seems intermittent about what addresses it saves, as were having to add in addresses multiple times. Is there a way to clear the autocomplete cache, and recompile it using the contacts folder? In this case, there isn't much in the contacts folder, so is there a way to backup the autocomplete cache, reset it, and restore?

I've used nk2edit for windows but I'm not sure if there is any equivalent for mac? Outlook for windows has a limit for autocomplete addresses set in the registry. Does macOS have the same?
