imac reboot problem
Have an iMac and all of sudden it said I needed to reboot the computer. I shut it down and back on and now all the fonts are really small and I cannot see some icons on the top right like the wifi. I cannot seem to get connected to wifi anymore and it won't let me turn it off and on. Not sure what to do.

In addition to the PRAM reset that @davidanders suggested, try the SMC reset. Unplug the iMac. Hold the power button.
If those resets don't work, try safe mode as suggested. Also, open Disk Utility and run First Aid (or disk repair and permission repair if it's an older OS X). If your system is one of the newer ones, boot into recovery mode with command r when you start your system and reinstall the OS. If you have an older OS X, you'll need your installer disc. If you don't erase the disk, it should reset all the system software and keep all your user files, but you should always back up your files just in case you make a mistake.
