Internet explorer, Windows server 2012

Is it possible to install IE 11 on windows Server 2012 Foundation
NOT r2?

IF it is not possible what steps can we do, to upgrade/update the server, to a version that I can have IE 11?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Please read through this rather lengthy thread. It looks like not available for non-R2 so you may have to use Chrome.

What you would need to do is do a migration from Foundation to 2012 R2 Standard.

So to be sure we would have to do an upgrade from
Foundation 2012
to Standard 2012
then from standard 2012 to Standard 2012 R2 in order to get IE 11.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Yes, that is the direction you need to take. Ensure you can upgrade from Foundation to Standard - I am not certain about that (need to look).

You might be best off to fully backup and install Server 2012 R2 directly.

I thank you for your time, i would like to be sure,
I can upgrade direct from foundation to standard R2?
or i have to go via standard then to standard r2?

Per:

You can upgrade to R2 from standard.  I am fairly sure you cannot upgrade from Foundation to R2
